Emily Upton

Emily is a Clinical Psychologist and third-year PhD candidate at UNSW and the Black Dog Institute supervised by Professor Jill Newby. Her research focuses on developing and evaluating accessible, evidence-based online interventions for mood and anxiety disorders, targeting Repetitive Negative Thinking (rumination and worry). She is particularly interested in women’s mental health and has developed and piloted an online treatment for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder that targets Repetitive Negative Thinking.
