Professor Eva Kimonis

Dr Eva Kimonis is a Clinical Psychologist and Professor of Psychology at the University of New South Wales. She is Director of the UNSW Parent-Child Research Clinic, which specialises in providing families with state-of-the-art assessment and treatment for children with oppositional-defiant, destructive, and aggressive behaviours, and its outreach clinics based within partnering primary schools in SouthWest Sydney and Albury, NSW. Prof Kimonis's expertise is in the developmental psychopathology, assessment, and treatment of childhood conduct disorders, antisocial behaviour, and psychopathic traits. Her book on the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with limited prosocial emotions is forthcoming. Prof Kimonis is Associate Editor for the journal Research on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology (formerly Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology); Past-President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Psychopathy; and recipient of the Eric Taylor ‘Translational Research Into Practice’ Award from the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH).
